Luke was born in the West Bromwich in the Midlands. He moved to London at the age of 20 to pursue a career in music. 5 years later, Luke is now touring and recording with many different artists behind the kit.

Luke has toured around the UK and also played around the globe in places such as India, Russia and Europe. Luke’s first major gig came at the age of 22 when he was asked to play for rapper Wretch 32. Luke toured for over a year with the ever-rising Hip Hop Artist, completing numerous tours of the UK and playing at some of the UK’s most popular festivals including Glastonbury and V Festival. Most notably appearing on The Jools Holland show late on in 2011. Luke also worked with Ms Dynamite on various recordings for BBC’s Radio One and online sessions.

2012 saw Luke touring in Europe behind the kit for Danish superstar Aura Dione on a festival tour, whist at the same time playing in the UK for various pop artists. This included a UK Headline tour with Aiden Grimshaw, recordings for Bo Saris and live shows with Josh Osho, (including The Script and Jessie J support acts). During 2012 Luke also played for 80’s band “Pigbag”, hip hop artist Mz Bratt, singer/songwriter Ruby Goe and on various corporate events.

You can also catch Luke playing throughout the year with the Bassment Project - a collective of London based musicians playing original music at venues such as The Jazz Café and 100 Club.

Luke has gained a great deal of experience in the music industry at a professional level. He himself has studied with some of the UK's finest drummers and now would like to offer what he has learnt to others. Luke can help with learning to read music and offer advice on how to develop and gain the confidence to be a musician. Luke has a wealth of experience when it comes to teaching and has taught drums privately for many years. As well as private tuition Luke has worked in youth clubs teaching groups of 14-18 year olds how to interact with each other through music. Luke offers private tuition to beginners and up to an advanced level for any age. There is an option of home tuition or at a private studio in west London.

Education Luke studied grades one to five as a youngster and also studied popular music at Walsall College in the Midlands passing with a Merit. He gained his degree in BMus Popular Music Performance at London College of Music.
